Can You Feel The Love

Our student teacher, Miss Virgin rocks! Her science unit has been very popular with the kids, especially when she brought in her collection of small rocks from England and I Spy glasses for the Kinders to explore. On Friday, the Kinders participated in sink and float experiments using objects of different shapes. We were all surprised to discover that while a paperclip sank a huge grapefruit floated. Jake decided it was because the grapefruit had hollow spaces inside just like a birds bones. Dulcie decided that the rock sank because it was solid just like a penguins bones. Great connections to our polar region study!!
