Nature Play On Vancouver Island

Nature Kindergarten On Vancouver Island

Watercolour painting and Tape

The children began with using painters tape to create images of trees, branches, suns and clouds. Then they applied shades of blue water colour paint reminiscent of winter skies on wet water colour paper.

The next week they moved onto to pink, fuchsia and orange water colour on wet water colour paper and this time added washi tape on top of the dried painting. Two of the children discovered that adding too much paint ended up with brown. Luckily they were happy with the new colour that they created. Beautiful!!! I imagine just like last week's art, there will be many visits to the art studio.
